Honor of the Range is a masterful showcase for cowboy superstar Ken Maynard. Maynard stars in the film twice as twin brothers Ken and Clem: one upstanding, one shifty and possibly crazy. When Clem helps outlaw villain Rawhide (Fred Kohler) steal money from Ken, Ken must tackle both this sinister gangster and his own brother! Maynard plays both sides beautifully. And speaking of beauty, this film has some of the better cinematography in a 1930s Western. The end of this film, involving a furiously played Wurlitzer organ, has become famous and doesnt fail to thrill to this day.
